Safety and efficiency of scaffolding
Date:2025-03-25
as an indispensable temporary facility in construction, the standardized use of scaffolding is directly related to project safety and work efficiency. the following are several knowledge points that are easily overlooked but crucial:
1. selection determines stability
the type of scaffolding needs to be selected according to the needs of the project: the traditional fastener type is flexible but time-consuming, the disc type has strong bearing capacity and is fast to build, and the portal scaffolding is suitable for low-rise operations. high-rise buildings are recommended to use the socket type disc type, which has a node torsion resistance that is more than 3 times higher than that of traditional steel pipes, and the modular design can reduce the erection time by 30%.
2. hidden risks of foundation treatment
60% of scaffolding accidents are caused by improper foundation treatment. the soft soil layer needs to be poured with a 15cm thick concrete cushion layer first, and the bottom of the vertical pole must be set with an adjustable base and a wooden board with a thickness of ≥5cm. during construction in the rainy season, drainage ditches should be set to prevent water accumulation from softening the foundation.
3. key node protection
the wall connection must be arranged in "two steps and three spans" (when the height is ≤50m) and fixed with double fasteners;
the joint gap of the operating layer scaffolding board should be controlled at 2-5cm, and the length of the cantilever end should be ≤15cm;
the landing rack over 24m should be set with a zigzag ramp with a slope of ≤1:3 and a spacing of anti-slip strips of ≤30cm.
4. daily inspection points
before daily operation, it is necessary to focus on the following inspections: vertical deviation of the upright (≤1/200h), fastener torque (40-65n·m), and looseness of the wall connection. it is recommended to use a torque wrench to spot check 20% of the fasteners. if more than 3 unqualified fasteners are found, a comprehensive inspection is required.
